The Corner House is a lovingly restored Victorian period town house, situated within three minutes walk of Uppingham’s busy market square and church.
Sleeps up to 6 people comfortably.
The newly renovated accommodation comprises one super king, one twin, and one double bedroom, the house sleeps up to 6 people in total.
The kitchen has been recently updated and features an imposing dresser, the basement/utility room has a butler sink and it’s own access from the courtyard.
The bathroom has also been recently renovated and retains the luxury original roll top bath.
There is a pretty courtyard accessed by steps from the kitchen, perfect for eating al fresco.
Uppingham Sports Centre is within 3 minutes walk from the house and a One Stop Shop within 2 minutes walk open until 10.00pm.
Your comfort is our main aim, so we have supplied the house with books and games, as well as Wi-Fi, Free View, CD player and an iPod sound station.

Whats included:
Linen:
Costs include all Bed linen, towels etc. they are changed weekly for two week lets, at no extra cost.
Smoking:
The Corner House operates a strict non-smoking policy within the house, smoking is allowed in the courtyard area, please dispose of any cigarette end tidily.
Dogs:
We welcome well behaved dogs, a small charge applies (see prices)
Children:
We welcome children in this family sized house, however please note that the House has fairly steep steps to the basement Utility room, these brick steps are not enclosed, so are not suitable for unsupervised small children to play on.
Parking:
Parking directly outside the house is residents restricted (8am to 4pm – Mon. – Sat.) there are spaces both at the front and back of the house, with a 2 hours Free time allowance per location.
Free parking can also be found about 50 meters away on Spring Back Way or the car park in front of the Red Indiia Restaurant or in any unmarked area. Friday is the only busy day as it is market day.

Uppingham & Area
A market town (Friday Market) in the county of Rutland in the East Midlands of England, located on the A47 between Leicester and Peterborough, about 6 miles (10 km) south of the county town, Oakham on the A6003 road.
The Corner House is situated between some great fishing at Eye Brook Reservoir & Rutland Water. It makes an ideal base to enjoy activities on and around Rutland Water, one of Europe’s largest reservoirs, which is ideal for sailing, cycling and walking.
The Corner House is a 20-minute drive from the world famous Burghley Horse Trials.
Fatstock
The market square is transformed once a year into the only fatstock show still to be held in temporary penning in a traditional market town. The first recorded show was in 1889. In 2011, 140 sheep, 24 pigs and 20 cattle were entered. The event attracts farmers from all over the area who exhibit their prize livestock and toast their acquaintances afterwards in The Falcon Hotel.
Rutland “much in little”
Its greatest length north to south is only 18 miles (29 km) and its greatest breadth east to west is 17 miles (27 km). It is the smallest historic county in England and the fourth smallest in the UK as a whole. Because of this, the Latin motto Multum in Parvo or “much in little” was adopted by the county council in 1950. It has the smallest population of any normal unitary authority in England.
The only towns in Rutland are Oakham, the county town, and Uppingham. At the centre of the county is Rutland Water, a large artificial reservoir that is an important nature reserve serving as an overwintering site for wildfowl and a breeding site for ospreys.
Rutland hosts the British Bird Watching Fair and is 5 miles from Rutland Water Nature Reserve.
